Islay Dubai Cup and Saucer
Dubai is an elaborate persian-style pattern in rich greens and dark blues, enriched with 22 carat gold with beautiful scrolling flower shapes. It also features on our Shetland and Lomond mugs.
The Artist
After training in ceramics, David started his career as an engraving apprentice at Wedgwood in 1969, later moving into design and illustration, going freelance in 1992. He is very much inspired by classic art and design, receiving a lot of commissions for commemorative designs such as the Queens' Jubilee
